my booklet on display at my favorite bookstore in berlin! i lived on gippstrasse, a block from do you read me?! & taking an afternoon to pour through its contents was always a happy day indeed. i was a full fledged convert, always sporting their fetching tote bag, always a carefully chosen publication in it.

This week was the opening for Archizines at New York’s own Storefront for Art and Architecture. Aside from finally seeing all the amazing publications in the flesh (including our own Towards an Architecture of Opposition), I was excited to see our lovely Benjamin E. Critton’s design for the storefront & program- He never disappoints!
Tomorrow, Saturday, I (mjf) will be presenting a manifesto. History themed! 2 oclock! info here.
"Everything that has been and is no longer we call historical, in accordance with the modern notion that what has been can never be again, and that everything that has been constitutes an irreplaceable and irremovable link in a chain of development."

The NY times picked up our Get In the Archives at the art book fair & asked Shannon to do a piece for them based on it.
“One of my duties as an archivist is to document history. Given this, I cannot help but preserve the library artifacts that I find.On this page are images of a few items that I have pulled from the trash cans of various libraries. I have chosen these items not only because I am already a little nostalgic for them, but also because I know that their passing marks an important shift in the role and functions of the library.”
The art book fair was a blast. Exciting times with Occupy Wall Street abuzz, good spirits despite serious injury & unforeseen complications, many friends old & new, & of course, lively discourse. We were so honored to include the work of DSGN AGNC, Megawords, Thread Makes Blanket & others. We were so honored to be included in such an amazing event.
"If we want to know what this will have meant, we will only know tomorrow. Perhaps."
- Derrida
